It Took The Same Faith

It Took The Same Faith

Rapsodie Adams

Walking in faith. What a concept. Only God could have come up with such a thing. We see in Hebrews 6:11, in order to please God, we must walk in faith. Hebrews 11:1, tells us that faith is the substance of the things we hope for, the very evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 10:23, tells us to hold fast to our faith, without wavering; because He is faithful, that promised. In Hebrews 10:38, we the just shall live by faith. We the saved in Christ, are the just, praise God. Please read Hebrews 11:1-40, it is amazing what the Holy Spirit shows us about faith.

Did you ever really consider the magnitude of faith that Noah had to have to build an ark, having never seen rain? Abraham’s case is the complete opposite of Noah’s; in that he saw, up front, everything that God was asking him to leave. Do we have that same faith in God? To look at all he has given us and walk away from it?

Abraham was looking for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Are we looking for that same city? Do we have the kind of faith that Abraham and Noah had? To do what God asks us to do? To prepare us for the rapture? Like Noah, can we hold fast to our faith for something we have never seen? Can we, like Abraham, walk away and not look back? I will end this blog the same way I started it. “Walking in faith. What a concept. Only God could have come up with such a thing.”

A Prayer

Dear Father, I give you my life and all I possess; my heart, mind, and soul. I will follow you and never look back. I have nothing tying me to this world. With the power of the Holy Spirit, I will hold fast to my faith, in you. For you, Father are able, who has promised. Come, Lord Jesus, come…

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Freely Give

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 14, 2017

Freely Give

Rapsodie Adams

Jesus said, if we would lift Him up, He through the person of the Holy Spirit, would draw all men unto Himself. Just as we were drawn to Him, by the Holy Spirit when He led us to the cross. Jesus gave to us freely, His message of Calvary. He never posted men outside the synagogue to collect admission. He never told the disciples to copy down all He had said and done, to put it in a book and charge a fee for men to read it.

Oh, I know I am stepping on a lot of toes. Sometimes when you are following the Holy Spirit, toes do get stepped on. But the only toes to be stepped on here would be the toes of those who charge money so they can build bigger barns. No toes were hurt in the writing of this truth, because anyone using the money to build the Kingdom of God…is being led by the Holy Spirit.

…

Over twenty years ago my husband and I rededicated our lives to God. The Lord spoke to us, individually, and said “freely I have given to you, freely you must give to the people.” Despite people trying to pull us in the opposite direction, we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, have held fast to what the Lord told us.

We don’t own a home today (our choice), no man took it from us. We felt led to lay it down at the altar of the Lord. Only because that was the direction the Lord was taking us. Praying and finding the Lord’s direction, is so crucial. Sometimes we get so zealous, for God that we try to help Him. God does not need our help (yes Lord, lesson well learned).

Looking back on our walk with God, He has done amazing things; through no funds of our own, because our funds have always been limited to our needs. But, God’s blessings have been nothing short of miraculous. He has taken us to so many wonderful places. We have stayed in resorts and hotels that had the most spectacular views, right from our window. We have flown to different Islands and we don’t even own a plane, let alone a jet. Yes, God has blessed us with many things.

…

When people ask, how have you been? I always say, “Blessed and blessed again.” Because the blessings that God has given me on the outside, of this body can never compare with what He has given me on the inside. All the dark places, in my life, have been taken away; now filled with His wonderful light. All of the tears I had, have been replaced with His peace. Because of His mercy, I have been given back my sight. And when man said I would never walk again, He gave me back my legs. And, so much more. You can see freely God has given, freely we must give.

A Prayer

Dear Father, oh yes you have blessed me. But, you have blessed me again and it is in that blessing, on the inside, that brings me to my knees going down and my hands going up. I don’t mean to sound cliché, but Father, truly there is not enough time, even when I add eternity, to give you praise. Not enough time Father, not enough time.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Same Man

C. Gray Adams 1 Comment August 13, 2017

Same Man

Rapsodie Adams

Just thinking of all the information that is in the Names of Jesus. It shows me that there is a bible study marathon just waiting to happen. A partial list might include: Son of David, Son of God, Son of man, King of Kings, Lamb of God, only begotten of God, Lord of Lords, Light of the world, Bright and Morning Star, Wonderful, Lion of Judah, King of the Jews. Oh, what a smorgasbord of delectables.

Let’s do a mini dig on, Son of God. When Jesus said He was the Son of God, this gave the Jewish leaders a platform to have him arrested. At the same time, the Apostles used this truth as a basis of their teaching. Son of God also implies, deity and shows us a unique relationship that Jesus had with the Father. At 12 years of age, He made the statement, “I have been about my Father’s business.” The bible teaches us in John 1:18, God’s only Son. In John 10:30, it says, one with the Father. John 4:34, doing the Father’s will. We also see in John 10:38, I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Further, John 3:35 states, Jesus has authority of the Father, Finally, John 3:36 says believing on Him, we would have everlasting life. Therefore, in having everlasting life we have salvation.

I know this has been a short dig into just one of the Names of Jesus, a mini dig at best. But I hope, it has inspired you as much as it has me. So I am going to go now and get a bigger shovel and my bible. Then I am going to pray to the Holy Spirit and we are going a-diggin.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I fear I have wasted so much of my time. That I have not been about my Father’s business; not even as much as a 12 year old boy. Father, please forgive me. I know there is not much time left, before your Son comes for me. So Father, would you please help me be a good steward of the time I have left.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Let My People Go

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 12, 2017

Let My People Go

Rapsodie Adams

Exodus 5:1, “And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.”

As I look around today, I see that I am in the wilderness. Unfortunately, the church is dried up of the Word of God, no longer fertile ground. How can I say that? Because the full counsel of God is not being taught. OK, now I’ve said it. So I’m just going to swim on out to the deep end. I will leave it up to God. Do I sink or float, in your loving arms?

Come Out of Egypt

God is calling for an exodus. He is calling His people out of Egypt, which is the church (building) and man-made itineraries; into the wilderness (the world); (Ex. 5:3) to sacrifice unto God. Just what are we sacrificing out there in the world (wilderness)? The answer, ourselves; we are laying down our lives for the Lord and picking up our cross. We are going to shake off, what is man and instead of playing church, we are going to be the church. They (man) need to stop telling the body of Christ to buy another CD, buy another book, or go to another seminar.

God is telling us, exchange the CD for the leading of the Holy Spirit; exchange the books for the Bible; exchange the seminars for a prayer life. Well, I see I am still floating, so I am going to go on. Church (Body of Christ), time is short. Jesus is coming very soon. God willing, there is still time left to show our families, our children, no matter what their age, the Christ that is in us. Yes, we are to occupy until He comes, but let us not forget, all of the above is to have its part in our occupying.

A Prayer

Dear Father, please help us, your Son’s body. Unstop our ears and remove the scales from our eyes. Help us see that our Egypt is nothing more than enslavement and bondage to man. Lord show us mercy and help us to be strong in the faith; never wavering, but standing on our solid rock, Jesus.

Father, if I am to be enslaved, let it be…only to your will – in and for my life.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

I Yield

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 11, 2017

I Yield

Rapsodie Adams

People in the church are being told that having an abundance of things proves, you are blessed of God. If you have pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing (woohoo), that’s God for sure. But, as I look at the people of the world; I see liars, murderers, thieves, self-seekers, lovers of self – more than lovers of God. As a matter of fact, they are setting at the head of the table, never have to stand in line, have an abundance of things; and they have it pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing. But, God is not in it.

I believe, if we are going to see the true blessings of God, in a person’s life; it would start with seeing they have yielded themselves to God. We would see them taking up their cross and following Him. We would see them seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Oh, that’s right, we are seeing this and they are blessed. But not all are seated at the head of the table; some are having to take a number and stand in line. But still all are blessed. They have joy unspeakable and full of glory. To them the blessings are not what material blessings God has given them, but what possessions they have, that they can give to God. They feel blessed to yield to God; blessed to be like Jesus and take up their cross; blessed to be seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness. These are the things in life, to them that say, I am the head and not the tail. I am blessed going in and coming out. I have an abundance and it is pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing with the love of Christ.

A Prayer

Dear Father, please don’t let your children be deceived about what a blessing is. Unstop their ears and remove the scales from their eyes. Please Father, never let me forget what a true blessing is; lest I be caught in the snare of the devil, and fall prey myself.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

The Old Man’s Gotta Be Gone

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 10, 2017

The Old Man’s Gotta Be Gone

Rapsodie Adams

O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death? Like Paul, have you ever felt like this? I don’t think I could recommend the reading of the book of Romans, enough; a teaching on a war, we the saved in Christ, battle daily. It is true that we are a new creature (2 Cor. 5:7). Therefore, we are now spirit-man; henceforth, we war against the flesh.

You may ask, why the war? The answer, the flesh never got saved. Paul, in Romans 7:15-17-19- & 20, says (paraphrased) all the things I should do, I do not; but everything I should not do, that is what I do. In verse 20, Paul says something very telling (paraphrased); if I do what I should not do, it is no longer me doing it, but sin that dwells in me. Obviously, Paul is not talking about his spirit-man, it is his flesh that wants to sin. After all, remember, the flesh never got saved.

In Romans 6:12, Paul says not to yield ourselves as members of unrighteousness. In short, don’t: see, hear, touch, or speak that which is not of God. Therefore, if we walk after the flesh, we cannot please God (Romans 8:8). Because we want to please God, we tell the old man he must go. Through the power and regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, we do not have to fulfill the lusts of the flesh. We see, God has made a way where there was no way; He has set us free from sin and death.

A Prayer

Dear Father, you have told me in your Word that the wages of sin is death; but the gift that you have given me is eternal life. Thank you for sending Jesus. Jesus, thank you for salvation. Thank you for the shedding of your blood which allowed me to be reconciled back to the Father. And for giving me the choice to receive the free gift of eternal life.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

He Is All Knowing

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 9, 2017

He Is All Knowing

Rapsodie Adams

God is an all knowing God. He knows the beginning, He knows the end. When we first accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He turned our lives around and gave us a new start in life. We turned from flesh, to a new creature (spirit) in Christ. Led by the Holy Spirit we began to run the race and fight the fight. We went to battle, the very day of salvation. Until Jesus comes for us we will stay, in the battle. In so doing, we give glory to our King. In Luke 9:62, our King Jesus, tells us that; no man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God. I am in the battle Lord. The Holy Spirit equips me and leads me on. Because of your saving grace, I never look back.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for choosing me for these last days. You saw something in me that no one else saw. You wanted to use me Lord. And what joy does fill my heart, when I think of you saving me, for these last days. Through the years, I know there have been times I came kicking and screaming. But, with the power of the Holy Spirit, I came. Thank you for the times, when I was so weak, that you had to carry me. Thank you for not giving up on me and continuing to bid me come. I love you so much Father, but I see these are only words; so please know my heart, for all that is in it is yours.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

I Want To Be Just Like Him

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 8, 2017

I Want To Be Just Like Him

Rapsodie Adams

When my girls were little, every chance they had, they would dress in my clothes and heals. They were so cute. They would have me babysit their dolls; this included changing diapers, feeding them, all the while they would call out instructions. When to put them down for a nap, don’t forget to read them a story. Oh, how it amazed me as I watched them grow into a mini me. And yes, it made me proud to think they wanted to be like me.

I believe when our heavenly Father looks down on us, there are also times He sees the cute, in us. Just like my little ones, who when growing up, believed they were all grown up. I believe there are times that we think we are all grown up, but in reality we are still little children; who have put on our Fathers clothes. Oh, they are a little big and they are a little long, but when our Father looks down on us, I believe His heart fills with pride; just to see that we want to look just like Him.

A Prayer

Dear Father, my children are all grown up now. And some day very soon when Jesus comes for me and I meet Him in the air, see Him as He is, with a twinkling of an eye, I will be all grown up. Jesus, it is all so real that very soon, you are coming. Holy Spirit, please make me ready for His soon return.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Our Time is Short – August 7th 2017

C. Gray Adams 3 Comments August 7, 2017

Our Time is Short

August 7th 2017

Rapsodie Adams

From the very beginning, our ministry has always been to the church (body of Christ). Through the years, our sadness has grown and grown for what has been happening to Christ’s body (church). We have been to churches that if we had been taken in blindfolded, and then had the blindfolds removed, it would have looked to us more like a place of amusement; with only a few Christians attending, with most looking like the unsaved. So very sad, heartbreakingly sad.

Surprised, with what we saw and heard, we were not. Because the scriptures say, in the last days, right before Jesus’ return, there would be a great falling away; as a result, apostasy, in the church. Church we must pray that we do not let the spirit that is of the world overtake us. Therefore, if we see this spirit has overtaken the church we attend, we must not pretend we don’t see what the Holy Spirit is showing us. If we see it has entered into the church, our loyalties must not be to man, who cannot save us; our loyalties must be to the God of our salvation; the one true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Focus

If you have kept a hold of the mind of Christ, seek out those who are of like mind who also have kept a hold of the mind of Christ. Fellowship with them, bible study with them, and pray with them.

Once the Holy Spirit has shown us that God is not in it, regardless of what assembly it is, we must step away. Jesus is coming for us Church, time is short. But, you say we are to occupy, until His return…please don’t let the devil blind you to the truth. Part of occupying is looking for the soon return of our Savior. Part of occupying is to have oil in our lamps. Part of occupying is seeing that our children are ready. Our families and friends, saved and unsaved, are all part of our occupying.

Let’s work a little less on our life we live here on this earth and a little more on our life in eternity in heaven. Let’s store up rewards in eternity and a little less of storing things up here on this earth. For the spiritual things, we get to take with us. Since there are no storage units in heaven, everything else must stay here. We must not look on anything, with a desire in our heart to keep it; remember the story of Lot’s wife? If you are finding this a little hard, this letting go of temporal things, all is not lost. If we find ourselves with such thoughts, we only need to pray to the Father. He will show us the way, for He truly is our way maker.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Jesus Come Back

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 7, 2017

Jesus Come Back

Rapsodie Adams

Many years ago I went to the Lord to complain about my newlywed husband, whom I believed did not have a close enough walk with God. Of course, I don’t know how I would have seen that which such a large beam sticking out of my eye. Of course this was my story, at the time, and I was sticking to it.

The first time I went to the Lord about my husband, the Lord spoke to me in that still small voice. He said, “Do not complain about your husband, but pray for him.” Not exactly the words I wanted to hear. On my second attempt to get God to enlighten my husband, the Lord answered me back and not with such a still small voice. Again He told me to pray, for my husband.

At this point I pretty much felt that God was not seeing my situation clearly. So on my third attempt to talk to the Lord, I pulled out the big guns. I reverted to what is called, tattle telling. This time the Lord did not answer. The quietness was all so real. From His booming voice last time, to complete silence.

Lord…are you there?

For the next three days, I made several attempts to hear from the Lord; I pleaded with the Lord to let me feel His presence, but nothing. Because of this, I became so void of life, it was like living in a black and white world. I went to my husband and I told him all that I had said to the Lord. With a heavy heart I told him it had been three days that I had not felt the presence of God. I was crying so hard I could hardly breathe. My husband put his arm around me and said “God would never leave you” and tried his best to comfort me.

That night I could not sleep, for hopelessness had filled my heart. And in despair, I said to God “if I am never going to feel your presence again, please have mercy and let me die, this night.” I don’t know when I fell asleep, I only know that when I opened my eyes I woke my husband with shouts of “look the sun is shining, look how green the trees are.” The sky was so blue. Needless to say, I could feel God’s presence.

Disobedience with God, is a big deal. God saw the repentance of my heart, showed me mercy, a lesson well learned. My hope is this; that my testimony may be of great help to someone else.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for the word of my testimony and the blood of the Lamb. I know that you would never leave me nor forsake me. It was my disobedience that threw a shadow over your presence. Thank you for your mercies, they truly are new every morning. Life without you Father, is no life at all.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
