This study will be a verse by verse study through the book of Revelation. Many, often wonder how things will end and what will happen to them after this life. The book of Revelation is a detailed explanation of exactly what will unfold in the near future. First the rapture (catching away) of the church, also known as the bride of Christ (1 Thess 4:13-18; 1 Cor 15:51-54). Next, a seven year period, known as ‘Jacob’s trouble,’ will begin and it will be a time of the of the worst tribulation the world has ever known (Revelation & Dan 9:27; Jer 30:7). This horrible time will end at the battle of Armageddon and with Satan being bound in the Abyss for one thousand years during which time he will no longer deceive the nations (Rev 20).
This is followed by the implementation of the millennial (one thousand year) kingdom over which Christ will reign with the bride by His side. At the end of the thousand year reign Satan will be released and defeated. After this, the white throne judgment will take place where the ungodly are judged and cast into the lake of fire where Satan, the antichrist, and the false prophet now reside. Finally, Christ will usher in a new heaven and a new earth and the New Jerusalem which will be the eternal dwelling place of believers (Rev 21-22).
