Without Jesus
Without Jesus
Rapsodie Adams
The Father shows His love to us without measure, no matter what we deserve. This is not only true for the unsaved, it is a truth for us (the saved) as well. We don’t want to believe that we, as Christians, can be more unforgiving than the world (unsaved). How high minded of us, when God has forgiven a brother or a sister that we do not extend that same forgiveness; not to mention, how many times in the scriptures we are told to forgive, Matthew 18:21-22. We, like Peter, would forgive a little, but Jesus has said, seven times seventy. After all the times we have gone to the Father for forgiveness, do we even comprehend seven times seventy? Just a question to myself, have I forgiven my brothers and/or sisters in Christ, seventy times seven?
A Prayer
Dear Father, please forgive me if there be any unforgiveness in my heart. I do not want a wake-up call, in my life, because of some hidden unforgiveness in my heart. Holy Spirit, please help me to always extend a kind and loving hand of forgiveness to any brother of sister that has stumbled. May I always remember not only the stumbles in my life, but the great falls I have taken. Holy Spirit, Cause me to always remember the Father’s scale…seven times seventy.
Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
