Lord I Give You My Life
Lord I Give You My Life
Rapsodie Adams
When I first accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I gave Him my life, to do with it what He would. It was like being made new, the desire of my heart was to tell others about the Savior. Suddenly, I was not fighting to do things my way. I was not alone, someone who loved me was guiding me. For the first time ever, my foot was on a sure and solid rock. And about that feeling of being made new, little did I know, at the time, that the Holy Spirit had made me a new creature in Christ; that old things had passed away and all things had become new. It seemed like every time I looked to myself to do or say, I was awakened to the sin of self; hallelujah, praise God, and amen.
Thank you Holy Spirit that you are still opening my eyes to what sin is. How I talked to people B.C. (Before Christ) was from my flesh; now led by the Holy Spirit, I talk to them from my spirit. When I did things from my flesh, it was always pushy, vile, and selfish. Whereas the Spirit of Christ is loving and kind, it is not puffed up with self, it is overflowing with the desire to do the Father’s will.
A Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for giving me your wisdom. As I move through the multitudes, it is with your wisdom I want to speak. Jesus you were and are a great fisherman. Led by your Spirit I also, can be a great fisher of men. Not in what I know, which would be to dangle a worm from a hook. Instead you Jesus, dangle the saving grace of God; which even after thousands of years is still bringing multitudes to the Father.
Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
