I’ve Got Jesus
I’ve Got Jesus
Rapsodie Adams
We have been taught, in God’s Word that the love of God that lives within is shed abroad, in the hearts of men. The words shed abroad, signifies a continuing flow of God’s love to our heart. If we believe that we have Jesus living inside of us (in the person of the Holy Spirit) how can we not have a continual flow of love coming from us? If it is true that God works in our hearts, why do we see the church (Body of Christ) struggling with this truth? We should have, flowing from our hearts: love, forgiveness, hope, faith, and prayer. Instead we see the church struggling to even have a resemblance of Christ. If we will allow Jesus to rise up in us, we would look exactly like His Body. We would then be a mighty force against the division in the Church.
Without unity we have no power. How can we fight the darkness in the world, if we refuse to see the power of darkness that is in the church? Instead of driving this darkness from the church we have stopped up our ears and closed our eyes. Then we take our self-righteousness to the world and try to win them to Christ with it. Oh church, this should not be…rise up and come together in the unity of Christ. We have such little time left, to win the lost to Him. So let us do what we have been commissioned to do – take the good news to the lost.
A Prayer
Dear Father, years ago you showed me your hand and on it was what looked like the church. You shook your hand and many people began to fall off. Those that were left, got up, brushed themselves off, and began to stand. Again, you shook your hand, even more people fell off. What was left, stood up and tried to get a good foothold, but again you shook your mighty hand. When I saw how few were left, I cried out to you “all of your people are falling off.” Then you spoke to me and said “I will shake my hand, until nothing of man is left, then I will build my church.”
Father, if this must be, I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ and myself also. Please Lord, at the end of your shaking, I pray that we will be found worthy to be the foundation you build with. With Jesus being the chief cornerstone.
Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
