Will We Be Ready?

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 7, 2017

Will We Be Ready?

Rapsodie Adams

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” This is, our blessed hope. But, the question is, will we be Ready, in this respect? Are we eagerly looking for our Lord’s return?

Can we say we are Ready, and living in a state of faith, love, and righteousness. Are we Ready, knowing full well, that we are the lamps (vessels), and we are filled with oil (the Holy Spirit); Ready, and telling others about Jesus? Finally, are we Ready, in that we have an understanding, that in Christ’s coming, there is a finality? Our time, on earth, will be over as far as winning the lost for Jesus.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I want to do all that you ask of me. Nothing is too small; I am not above anything you ask. Nothing is too big; for with God all things are possible. Therefore, Holy Spirit, help me to be always conscious, of the time to do things to build my Lord’s kingdom. That time would be now, before I meet Him in the air. Holy Spirit, please help me to live in a state of readiness.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Rise Up Church

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 6, 2017

Rise Up Church

Rapsodie Adams

I can remember, like it was yesterday, teaching my girls ‘This little light of mine’ (well in a since, it was yesterday – I’m just not saying, how many yesterday’s) (can I get an Amen?). We, as the church, are the light to a lost and dying world; far from a little light, we have the glory of God the Father which can light up the whole world, even on the darkest night (Hallelujah). By letting the Holy Spirit lead us, the presence, power, and victory of our Lord goes before us; which will make us a mighty moving force, the gates of hell cannot prevail against (Shout Hallelujah, praise God). The victory is MINE, says our Lord (I’m going to take a minute and dance before my Lord!!!).

A Prayer

Dear Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, I, as the church, must rise up. How can I not? I am a vessel you have filled, even more so, in these last days of the church age. Holy Spirit, help me to be a mighty moving force for my Jesus. Lord I pray, when I see you, I will hear these words “well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Look Up

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 6, 2017

Look Up

Rapsodie Adams

Have you ever anticipated something that you wanted, for a long time? Maybe it was family that you had not seen in years. You see them coming down the driveway. Now they are getting out of the car. All of your waiting and anticipation and longing to see them has turned into, but suddenly; in seeing them, what joy there is in your heart.

I remember another anticipation. OK mothers (get out your hankies), you remember due dates, but your due date has come and gone. You have waited, and waited, and waited; your joy is somehow gone and you are not sure, when it left – but you know it is gone. A familiar thought has come to you, but this time it is not staying in your brain, it is coming from your mouth…will this baby ever get here? No sooner said and it is ‘but suddenly’ and you don’t even have to wait for joy to come in the morning. When they put that bundle in your arms, what joy did fill your heart; but suddenly has a way of sneaking up on us (can I get an Amen)?

A Prayer

Dear Father, please don’t let ‘but suddenly’ overtake me. Cause my spirit to always anticipate your coming. Let the rapture mean more to me, than family that I have not seen in years, and even more than the precious bundles, from heaven, that you have given me. Let the anticipation of your coming always be to me, joy unspeakable and full of glory; as I look up to heaven anticipating the blessed hope.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

There’s a Cold Wind Blowin

There’s a Cold Wing Blowin

Rapsodie Adams

I see and hear, what is going on in the world today, not only in Israel (which we can set our end times clock by), but also here in the USA. We hear of wars and rumors of wars. There are signs in the moon and the stars, famines, pestilence, and earthquakes. I see man in fear, trying to fix it all (as if he could), but because I have Jesus, my spirit is in tune with God and I do not fear.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I know you are coming for me soon. You Lord are my redeemer, I do not fear what I see; it only makes me hasten to get my spiritual house in order. Lord help me to, in a loving way, express to my brothers and sisters in Christ, how close the rapture is, so they too, may get their house in order. Help us Holy Spirit, with your anointing that only you can give, to bring the lost in for our Jesus.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

No More Me – Take Two

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 6, 2017

No More Me – Take Two

Rapsodie Adams

Have you ever had one of those weeks, where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired? As you look back it all started with that stinking thinking, about something you wanted to handle, your way. But, the Holy Spirit kept bringing those words back to you, you know those words don’t you, words like love me with all of your heart, soul, and mind? So, you start the check list, heart-yes, soul-yes, mind-yes, love my neighbor as myself-???

Here comes the but… You had it all figured out, but it didn’t include, that love. Well, not in the sense that God see it. You know, it’s more like that tough love, that says, let me tell you how it’s going to be. But the Holy Spirit just keeps bringing you those words; and because it took you a week to hear them, He brought out the big guns. Boom, mercy; boom, boom, boom, only speak that which will minister grace to the hearer. I hear you Lord, point taken. And it’s me again Lord, down on my knees, please forgive.

Thank God I don’t live in last week, it’s a new day and I’ve gained one more step on God’s ladder.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for helping me get, to no more me. Your mercies are new every morning. Holy Spirit, thank you for bringing to my remembrance, love suffers long, is kind, envies not, is not vain, nor puffed up. I have said to you Lord, “no more me, but all of you.” I see that this is your kind of love Lord and this is the kind of love I want to have. A few more steps up your ladder Lord. Now I can see your light, at the end of the tunnel and I believe with all of my heart that you are going to get me there.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

He Changed My Life

He Changed My Life

Rapsodie Adams

Where should I begin? I will not go back to the very beginning that would be TMI, so I will start with this; I was a broken girl. Like Humpty Dumpty, all the king’s men could not put me back together again, it was going to take God. I am a work in progress never the less, indistinguishable from the girl I was. The world has so many ways of breaking you that even my breaks have breaks, (am I alone in this, or could I get an Amen)? Being the Potter, God is able to remake what the world has deemed as trash. From ashes to the Potter’s hands, what a beautiful world I live in now. Yes the world can throw you away, like a rotten apple; but my God can come along and pick you up and say, “You are the apple of my eye.” How’s that for a beautiful world?

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you, thank you, thank you…Lord there is not enough thank and you in this whole world to express how thankful I am, that you saved me. More ways than I can count, from all the pain, all the hate, all the tears. You are truly the brightness of God’s glory. You have brought a light into my life that I can take into a lost and dying world; with the Holy Spirit leading the way, to the one, the one the world threw away. I would like to tell that one about my Jesus…How can I thank you? Let me count the ways. But lord, you do know, it is going to take me – all of eternity.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

A Sweet, Sweet, Smell

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment June 15, 2017

A Sweet, Sweet, Smell

Rapsodie Adams

I love to go to the nursery, the smells are so sweet; beyond anything found in a spray can. I can’t live at the nursery, so spray can it is. The Lord has said in His word that if we fail to lift Him up…the stones would cry out. Can you imagine, a stone taking your place of praise? The thought makes my heart sad and it greaves my spirit. I, very much, want my praise to be a sweet smell to the Lord, to go beyond the smell of a spray can; even beyond the smell of the flowers in a nursery. I want it to be the sweetest smell that this child of God can lift up; full of honor that will glorify my King.

A Prayer

Dear Father, the smell of gardenia, honeysuckle, lavender, roses and lilacs is so good. But the fragrance from you, Jesus can change a dark day into light. Your fragrance can make the 4th of July finale seem like a dud. There is no way my praise can come close to your fragrance. Holy Spirit, help me to lift up my Lord, help me to bring Him such glory that the Lord would receive my praise as a sweet, sweet, smell. This is the desire of my heart. Lord you say in your word that you will give us the desire of our hearts; now Lord I am looking to you, my author and my finisher, Lord please make it so.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

He’s the Way Maker

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment June 7, 2017

He’s the Way Maker

Rapsodie Adams

I wonder how many times I have said, “if I only had a way I could do this or I could do that?” I have a plaque that has an inscription that states; “It always seems impossible, until it is done.” While that is surely true, there is another truth a little closer to home; I may not always know the way, but I always know the Way-Maker. More than that, I know where He lives. Oh Yeah!!! Praise God, Amen and Halleluiah, He lives right inside!

Sometimes we look up to heaven, sometimes we fall on bended knees, but there are times that we must reach down inside of ourselves, (please don’t stop there) keep going, until you have bypassed self and caught hold of the Holy Spirit. Don’t look to the right, don’t look to the left. If you see a mountain, put on your climbing clothes and just keep following. Should you see an ocean, start swimming. If you should see a fire, remember, you are not alone; hold on tight – you are about to come through.

A Prayer

Dear Father, there has never been a record of you failing. I wish I could say the same for me; so Lord I’m asking you to help me to hold on and never let go of you. For I know the victory is in you. I hope someday to wear the victors’ crown. I have said many times, it always looks impossible until it is done. But the pure truth is all things are possible with God. Thank you Lord for making a way, where there is no way.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

What’s in the Name of Jesus

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment June 5, 2017

What’s in the Name of Jesus?

Rapsodie Adams

In the world today, we can openly talk about God, but only whisper the Name of Jesus. The reason why? In today’s world, God could be a tree, an animal, or even a statue. Because, people have made many things in their lives, a god: degrees, professions, businesses. But, let’s get back to what is in the Name of Jesus? All the power of the Godhead!!! So, in Jesus’ Name we have the victory. He brings us through the fires. The sick are healed and devils are cast out, we received salvation and life eternal, and so…much more. He came to us, a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes; He left us wrapped in burial clothes, but…the grave could not hold my Jesus down.    –    The lamb God chose, spotless…it is no wonder, my heart soars like an eagle every time I speak His Name.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for your birth, death, and resurrection. Thank you Father God for sending your, only begotten Son, so that through Him we are now reconciled back to you. Thank you, Jesus for giving me the authority to use your precious Name. Now I know, what’s in the Name of Jesus? Everything I will ever have need of.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Praising the Name of Jesus

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment June 4, 2017

Praising the Name of Jesus

Rapsodie Adams

There is so much in the name of Jesus, to tell about; I have my doubts, that even eternity could hold it all. But, here are a few of the verses I find very interesting. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” v.14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” v.3 tells us “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” Drum roll please, John 3:16b “that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 11:25…double drum roll please for the Red Letters. “Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” How about that for a start for thousands of reasons to praise the Name of Jesus. We are never too young and we are never too old to praise His Name.

A Prayer

Dear Father, if you search my heart, and I know that you do, you have found me wanting. Please forgive me, I want so much to praise you in all things; no matter how great, no matter how small. Holy Spirit help me to lift up my voice in praise to His Holy Name. Let my first breath of the morning be in praise to Him, and the last word of the evening be in lifting up my voice and giving praise to my Jesus.

 Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
