Get Right

Get Right

Rapsodie Adams

Please try and understand, I am not a gloom and doom person. I am happy. Jesus has given me a lot to be happy about. I spend a lot of time making a joyful noise unto the Lord. God has made provision, in His Word, for people like me (Ps. 66:1), for those of us who can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Yes, I know what you are thinking, my name…what can I say, my husband and I – with the leading of the Holy Spirit, write songs. My husband sings; God has given him a beautiful voice, he has music down in his soul. God gave me music in a name, and a voice to make a joyful noise, and I give Him praise for it. He hears with the ear of love and smiles when He hears my joyful noise (for those in ear shot – sorry).

Back to the point, we must get right with our Lord. We must set aside, time to pray; sometimes that means to take time to make time. We need to take our focus off of our problems. Trials are our opportunity to show others the glory and the grace of our God. Little time remains, to be salt that has not lost its savor. The Father has given each and every one of us an opportunity to do His will. Stop saying and thinking, you have nothing worthy or weighty enough, for these last days (that my friend is stinking thinking). We are not flesh, any longer (read Romans) we are spirit. We are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. Let me make this long story short; we need to get right. The bottom line…Gods judgement will start first – in His church.

A Prayer

Dear Father, when I pray, come Lord Jesus come, help me to know the finality of your coming. I must be ready for you when you come; there will be no time left, for me to ready myself. Holy Spirit, help me to make a stand for Christ…now. Help me to separate anything of man, no matter how good it might seem. For your Word says “there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Precious Things

Precious Things

Rapsodie Adams

As the world grows darker and darker, I see with more clarity, just how blessed I am. For example, I’m allowed to read my Bible, pray, tell others about Jesus; thankfully, I can still preach and teach and even blog about the written Word. But, with my rights being taken away, more and more – each day; and having read the book (Bible), therefore, studying to show myself approved unto God; I can see there is coming a time this will not be allowed. It has been said, that there are more Christian martyrs today than there were in 100 AD, in the days of the Roman Empire. With what we see and hear, we cannot in good conscious doubt this. This should bring our knees down and arms up with hearts of thanksgiving, giving praise to the Father for what He has given us…These precious things.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for being with those who are in jail for your name sake. Thank you that you are with those that have gone on (martyred) to be with you. Holy Spirit, as lukewarmness fills our churches and darkness is overtaking our nation, please help me, empower me, give me a peace that passes all understanding, courage to do the Father’s will. Right now, I am seeing Jesus, in the garden, praying. I know what all He prayed, but the only words that are ringing in my ears, are these “not my will – but thine will be done.”

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Now is the Time

Now is the Time

Rapsodie Adams

I remember well, a time in my life that I felt all alone, I had no hope, and no one to turn to.

I hated the fence that surrounded the children’s home. Hey don’t cry for me, I had a bed – three hots and a cot, as they say. But it only served to remind me of a dog pound. Just like the dogs in a pound, who are not wanted, we too were just a bunch of kids, no one wanted. No matter our color or origin (we were all color-blind) we just loved on each other. We learned fast that there was no love coming from any other source; not inside the fence and definitely not from outside the fence. I wish I had known at that time, God had a plan for me. I could have shared it with all of those scared and lonely kids.

It makes me sad that I didn’t know Jesus, back then. But it brings such joy to my heart, to know Him now. Now I can share Him and give hope to all of those who don’t know where to turn, those who are all alone in this loveless world. I want you to know, God has a plan for your life and it consists of a whole lot of love; oh, I know what you are thinking when I was told that, I could not understand either. But I will tell you this, you can experience it for yourself. All you have to do, is believe what is true.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I thank you for all the different testimonies that you have put in my mouth. You have brought me through so much hurt and pain. I give you all the glory. I know the love that you have for this lost and dying world (for I was part of it). And, I know I was a stubborn and rebellious child, but you showed me your love. Help me to show the love of Christ, so much so, that they do not see me, but it is you – that they see.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

What is Right

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 14, 2017

What is Right?

Rapsodie Adams

Once upon a time in my life, I was Godless; so I had no preconceived notions of God or, might I add, evolution…thoughts like that didn’t enter into my lifestyle. When I was a preteen or teen, I went to a friend’s house for supper. After having been seated around the table, they bowed their heads, closed their eyes and began praying over their food. I know this because I kept one eye open, and it was on them. I remember at first, I had a strange idea that this was somehow real, but by the time the prayer had ended, I had decided that this was not an everyday occurrence, but a show for me.

Since that experience during my youth, I have been exposed to evolution and every other, anti-God doctrine out there. But it was a truth when God said to me, seek me and you will find me; and seek I did and I laid hold or this truth – there is only one way to God and that is through His precious Son Jesus. There is no other name under the heavens, whereby we can be saved. If there is someone reading this, who is in the valley of decision, of is God real or is He made up – I have your answer…and I know I have it…because God gave it to me. Seek me and you will find me. Amen, praise God, and Hallelujah. I did seek and He was true to His word, I did find Him and I am never letting go.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for being true to your Word. Holy Spirit help me to always continue to seek God, not to find Him for I know where He is, He is in my heart, but I want to keep seeking His truths. For as I find them, they are continually setting me free. And whom God sets free, is free indeed.

Living Waters

Living Waters

Rapsodie Adams

Living Waters is a song that takes me to a well in Samaria (John 4:1-42) and a woman, a broken woman (boy, can I relate to her). Jesus always goes to the lost; man, woman, child, young and old, whatever their sin is that separates them from the Father, He goes to them. He shows them His love and the love of the Father, and the power of the Holy Spirit to break the bonds of sin. The living waters the Lord talks about, in His Word, are never ending; they come freely to us, so that we can be consumed by His love.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I pray that when I am witnessing for you that I always do it in love. In the same kind of love you gave to me. Holy Spirit, I ask that you guide me, not only to those whose heart’s you have prepared but, also that you fill my mouth with the Word of God. I know Lord that your Word never returns to you void, it always accomplishes that which you have sent it to do. Thank you Lord for filling my cup to overflowing; may your love always consume me, so much so – that I cannot help but, to give it to others.

Humbly I Bow Down

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 11, 2017

Humbly I Bow Down

Rapsodie Adams

The Holy Spirit has been bringing the word humbly, to the forefront of my thoughts. I have always related it to lowliness and meekness. But, the Holy Spirit prompted me to look it up in one of my Bible dictionaries. The words above were listed and a few others that I was familiar with. But low and behold, there before my eyes, was one word I had never thought about, quite like they had listed it; “freedom from pride.”

Yes, I had thought about pride and what God has to say about it.  Thankfully, it is one of the things that helped to keep me straight, and that is pride goeth before destruction. I had done enough destruction to my life, but back to the definition, “freedom from pride.”  That definition made me want to jump for joy and dance before my Lord. Now I humbly bow down, with a humble heart, which I could not do if the Lord had not given me freedom from pride (makes you want to dance, doesn’t it?). So how can we not, HUMBLY bow down before Jesus? Just think of how He died and shed His blood at Calvary, so we could live eternally (Just one of the many things, His sacrificial death did for us).

A Prayer

Dear Father, your Word says that we will be given a victor’s crown. Your Word also says that the 24 elders will cast their crown at your feet. I also would like to cast my crown at your feet. I would never compare myself with the 24 elders, but when I think of you giving me a crown and the price you paid, to give me this crown, everything in me begs to be able to cast it, at your feet.

Are You Willing to be…a Vessel of Honor?

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 11, 2017

Are You Willing To Be…A Vessel Of Honor?

Rapsodie Adams

In 2 Timothy 2:21, the Lord talks to us about different types of vessels. I want to talk to you about a vessel of honor and a very brave woman, named Ester. Please read the book of Ester, it will inspire you and ignite a fire in your bones (We are going to need that, in these last days). Have you ever thought about how the Lord might use you in these last days? When you think about Ester, are you saying to yourself, but Ester was a queen, I am nobody. Let me tell you a truth, there are no unknowns or nobody’s with God; only mighty men, women, and children (like Ester) that God has saved for such a time as this. We could have been born at any time in history, but this is the time that God has chosen for us.

So let us purge ourselves of (wood and earth) these things that are not of God. Let us separate from the world and the things of the world, and the things of the church that have come from the world. Let’s be that vessel of honor, God has equipped us to be. Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit, who comes in power – blazing the way before us, giving us the power and the grace to do mighty things for God.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I would (like Ester) like to go boldly before the kings (people in high places) of this earth, speaking the truths that are in your word. Jesus, you died for me, help me to die to self so that I can live a life of honor, for you. Help me Holy Spirit, to never-never be afraid of man. I want always to stand against evil, a vessel fit for the Master’s use. Lord, you are coming soon, help us (your body) to stand strong against the evil in these last days.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

King of the Hill

King of the Hill

Rapsodie Adams

Many, many, many moons ago; sometimes it’s hard to remember that far back (am I alone)?  Or, maybe I just don’t want to remember, that rings more like the truth. But, I believe it keeps my foot on the solid rock to remember, where God has brought me from. In my youth, I considered myself to be street-smart, now I wonder is their really such a thing? Back then, I knew how to play the game. I could play shy. When needed I could be tough. If the situation called for it I could act dumb. Being an avid reader I could trick you into believing, I was pretty smart. In my mind, I had it all figured out, the bottom line…I had all the answers. I was queen of my domain…or so I thought.

When I finally got to the bottom of that hole I was digging, every time I tried to climb out, someone kicked me back in. Sometimes in pretense, they helped me out, only to throw me back with a shovel full of dirt, to boot. Then I met the one whom the Father had proclaimed, the true King of the Hill, his name is Jesus and he truly does have all the answers.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for being my king. How wise of the Father to have a plan to save all of mankind, and how loving of you to do the Fathers’ will. After all of these years, your blood on the Cross of Calvary is still saving mankind. I, Dear Lord am one of them. You were not afraid, nor were you offended, to come down to the very pits of hell, to get me. A rotten apple the world had thrown away, you chose me to be the apple of your eye…I know I say that a lot Lord, but it makes me feel so loved to know that you chose me…you chose me… To this very day I cannot understand your love for me, but I am so very, very thankful for it.

He was a Humble Man

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 9, 2017

He was a Humble Man

Rapsodie Adams

Herein lies the question, am I a humble woman; according to God’s definition (I’m not going to be able to slide through this one, am I)? Sometimes I wonder if I use what is not Jesus’ example, as a scale to determine whether or not I am humble; in the first place, maybe I use a preacher or a teacher that has charged hundreds or even thousands of dollars to go to a church to preach and teach the word of God…in fact, charging for the very thing (the gospel) that God has given them for free. By the same token, perhaps I am comparing myself to the beautiful people, who would not even take my phone call for those same hundreds of dollars. Well then, it would be easy for me to come up with the idea that I am not only humble, but very humble (slide).

The truth is, I have only one example…and his name is Jesus.

He chose to come to earth to be born a man. (He humbled himself)

He chose to make himself of no reputation. (He humbled himself)

He chose to become a servant of all. (He humbled himself)

He chose to take up his cross, he hung between thieves. (He humbled himself)

He chose to bare the sin. (He humbled himself)

He chose to bare the shame. (He humbled himself)

He was the Great I AM, but our example, of a humble man.

A Prayer

Dear Father, please forgive me if I looked at what is really of the world to be my example of humility. Your life is my example, but when I look at it through my eyes, I see only an impossibility. But, when I look through the eyes of the spirit, the Holy Spirit shows me the potter, molding me. For this reason, I know through your hands and the Holy Spirit’s power, I cannot miss your mark. Lord I humble myself before you and your creation.  Help me to remember, being humble is not just being on bended knees, before you, but before all mankind, whom you have made.

End of the Line

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 7, 2017

End of the Line

Rapsodie Adams

As I reflect back on my children, as they were growing up, I’m getting a good look at me. Yes, I taught them to: say their prayers before going to sleep, pray and ask God to bless their food, pray for travel mercies, pray for missionaries and give alms to them, pray for those that are sick, pray for our pastor, pray for anyone in the church that has not received Christ as Lord and Savior. I taught them to give joyfully, to the Lord. And, if they only had a little, to share with those who had less than a little.

I cannot go back, and I say that tearfully with a heavy heart. But the truth is, when I taught them these things and their little song of “This little light of mine” did I teach them that their little light was a beacon to a lost and dying world? Did I teach that even though you are small, God can and will do great things through you? That when you lift your little hands to God the Father, what joy does fill His heart. Yes, God has great things in store for you and one of the greatest gifts that God has given is this…when we stop playing church and start being the church, what joy does fill His heart.

A Prayer

Dear Father, when I reach the end of the line, through death or the rapture, I pray I have done things of lasting worth, that I was faithful with my time. For those times that I was not faithful, I ask that you forgive me and show me your mercy. I pray I have fought a good fight and run a good race. You Lord have given us the words to this song and I thank you. Holy Spirit, help these words that the Lord has given us, to be my heart’s desire…“Lord if I’d be found faithful, this is my heart’s desire. Lord to enter – into your praises – into your glory – into your presence.”

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
