Please Forgive Me

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 5, 2017

Please Forgive Me

Rapsodie Adams

I wonder if we have any idea of the pain that we inflict on the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, when we try to live a lifestyle of sin. If we would just remember all that the Father and Son have given so that we can be forgiven of our sins. Not only that, but with the power of the Holy Spirit the bondage of a lifestyle of sin, is broken; Praise be to God and amen.

If we do sin, we can go to the Father with a repentive heart, a heart that sees it has turned from God, unto itself. Because of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, we turn to the Father for forgiveness. And He is faithful and just, not only to forgive us our sin, but to cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Sin removed:

  • Psalms 103:12 – as far as the East is from the West.
  • Micah 7:19 – cast into the sea.
  • Isaiah 43:25 – will not remember them.
  • Hebrews 8:12 – will not remember them.
  • Hebrews 10:17 – will not remember them.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin. Holy Spirit, thank you for your convicting power that does not allow me to just be sorry. How well I know that sorrow, void of repentance, has no forgiveness; and sorrow will come again another day. But you, Holy Spirit have broken the bonds of sin. And Father, whom you have set free is free indeed.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

24 & 7

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 5, 2017

24 & 7

Rapsodie Adams

When we were of the world, living for satan, the father of this world; we lived our lives for him. Whether we believe this or not, it does not change the truth that we not only lived for him, but we lived for him 24&7.

It is a new day for us, because we accepted Jesus, as Lord and Savior. Now we have a new Father and we serve him, hopefully, 24&7. Wait, wait, you say…how can we possible live – 24&7 for God? When we arise every morning seeking God, and throughout the day, if needed; we cast our cares on Him, because we know that He cares for us. We heed the Word of the Lord, because it guides us in our daily walk. God said men should always pray, so in our daily walk with Him, we pray.

Being a Christian 24&7 at first, may seem impossible, and then we remember, all things are possible with God. We have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we have the power, the Word, and guidance…24&7.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I do want to be a Christian every day. I want this, so that the world will see Christ in me, thus giving glory to you. Father, you have said in your word, that we are children of the light. But, if I do not appear as light what good would my testimony be? Or, what good would I be to a lost and dying world? What good would I be for you? What good would I be???

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

God Won’t Settle for Anything Less

God Won’t Settle for Anything Less

Rapsodie Adams

In Matthew 22:37, Jesus said unto them (us), thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart; He didn’t stop there, let’s go on, and with all thine soul; let’s keep going, and with all thine mind. In Deuteronomy 6:5, and they shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thine soul, and with all thine might. I think that there can be no doubt, in our minds, just how much of us, God the Father wants. Now we already know that, the three – are one (trinity), keeping this in mind, let’s retrace our steps. If God wants all of our heart soul and mind, then we know Jesus and the Holy Spirit also want all of us. All of our hearts, soul, and mind is inclusive and it means all of us.

A Prayer

Dear Father, as I yield myself to the Holy Spirit, He continues to bring to me, more and more of you. Thank you Holy Spirit for helping me to have a greater understanding of the wants, of the Father. Father thank you for your plan of Salvation. I want to give you all of my heart, soul, and mind…I know this is what you ask of me. Father, in the light of all that you have given, it seems that you are asking so little of me, in return.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

No Greater Love

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 3, 2017

No Greater Love

Rapsodie Adams

We can see no greater love for mankind than the love that Jesus showed us, by way of the cross.

We say we love our brothers and sisters in Christ, the poor and needy, even those in our own family that have a need. We say we are ready to help (you know) part with money. But, we stop up our ears and we cover our eyes. There I’ve said it. Yet we know Jesus left His throne, the Father, the Holy Spirit, and heaven itself…to help us. How’s that for reaching down deep, into a pocket?

He did it for people of every color and nationality, every walk of life. Indeed, for the sexual deviant, druggie, drunkard, thief, liar, murderer, for every sin, that besets mankind. Knowing that He was coming to earth to die for the very people who were going to kill Him. But come He did, to save us from our sin. And in so doing, He showed us this, there is no greater love than when a man lay down his life for a friend; furthermore, that true giving comes from a pure heart.

A Prayer

Dear Father, when I think of how unselfish you were, to send Jesus and how unselfish Jesus was to come. It only proves to show me, how selfish I can be. Please forgive me. Years ago, you showed me that to give what I had in abundance was good. But to give what I didn’t have an abundance of was to give in a pure way, and that was even better. The lesson I learned was, what kind of giving was it, to give what I didn’t need anyway.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Lord You Are Greater

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 2, 2017

Lord You Are Greater

Rapsodie Adams

Have you ever felt like the mountain, in front of you, was bigger than what you could conquer? Or that, you have been walking across this valley for months? Maybe you are watching the news and you see the fires, floods, tornadoes, or earthquakes and suddenly you feel helpless. Then the Holy Spirit tugs at your heart with a truth that is undeniable. And that truth is this, that your God is higher than any mountain. He’s wider than any valley; greater than any fire, flood, tornado, or earthquake. For your God is even greater than the universe. For after all, He created it.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for your greatness. You are an awesome God. Your greatness goes so much further than any trial that I might be going through; or, any catastrophe that might be coming upon this earth. For I believe that the greatest of your greatness was when you sent your Son to die for me; so that I could be saved. Washed in His blood, I have been reconciled back to you and I can see nothing greater than these.

Thank You Lord For…

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment August 1, 2017

Thank You Lord For…

Rapsodie Adams

Most people say thank you. I believe that most of the time it rolls off of our tongues without thought. In this song, Thank You Lord For, we not only thank, but we acknowledge the Lord, as well we should. When we thank someone, for example the person ringing up our groceries and maybe the person that bagged them; do we take time, not only to say thank you, but also to acknowledge them?

Most people in public service wear a name tag. Because of that we can say, thank you Mary for… thank you James for… God says do everything as unto the Lord. I think if we took a couple of seconds longer to express our gratitude, it would be more like doing it unto the Lord. Just adding their names and a smile, along with that thank you, goes a long way with and for the Lord.

A Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for always showing me that when I do unto others as I would have them do unto me. I am the true recipient of the blessing.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

The Three Are One

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 31, 2017

The Three Are One

Rapsodie Adams

God is one in three and three in one.  He is God the Father, creator of the Universe and the creator of mankind; God the Son, Savior of mankind, head of the church, which is His body; God the Holy Spirit is, the comforter, the power, He that convicts of sin, our teacher that leads us into all truths.

Thankfully, God had a plan to reconcile, not only the Jews (His bride) back to Him, but the gentiles (Jesus’s bride) as well. What an awesome God we serve. But, without the Holy Spirit’s convicting power, neither of these would happen. So we thank you Holy Spirit.

God is the Alpha and Omega – He is our, Abba Father – Almighty God – Ancient of Days – Buckler – Creator – Deliverer – Consuming Fire – Dwelling Place – Fortress – High Tower – El Shaddai – Elohim – Rock – Shield, He is our – I am that I am. There are many more, but I will end with this, Father – there are none like you.

A Prayer

Dear Father, you are my all in all. I pray that you will send workers into the field, workers that are led by the Holy Spirit. Those who also believe that you are their all in all. Stop those who are entering your field who are not filled to the top and overflowing, with the Holy Spirit. For those without the fullness of the Spirit are doing great damage.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Lord Your Ways

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 30, 2017

Lord Your Ways

Rapsodie Adams

How many ways of Jesus can we use, in our daily walk with Him? Hold on, here we go.

Know them – Show them – Live them – Give them – Preach them – Bring them – Sing them. See your ways – Be in your ways – Walk in your ways – Talk your ways – Fill my days, with your ways – Live my days, in your ways.

Well that’s a start, but let us look at some more.

Your ways heal the sick – Your ways heal the blind – Your ways bring the dead to life – Your ways set us free from sin – Your ways are the beginning end the end – Your ways are much higher – Your ways are far greater – Your ways are forever.

Of course, these are just a few of your ways.

A Prayer

Dear Father, I’m glad I will be spending eternity with you. It’s going to take me that long, just in trying, to get to the end of your ways. Which I know already, you are without end. But I am going to have a joyful time just trying.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Servant of All

C. Gray Adams 0 Comment July 30, 2017

Servant of All

Rapsodie Adams

As the Bible plays out the most beautiful story of Jesus’ service to man, let us follow along. Matt. 12:18, Jesus was chosen by His Father to be His servant. Matt. 9:35, Jesus tells His disciples, if any of them want to be first, they must be last and become a servant of all. Luke. 16:13, Jesus said, no servant can serve two masters, for he will hate the one and love the other, God and mammon (riches). Phil. 2:7, says that Jesus made himself of no reputation, but took upon himself the form of a servant.

There is so much more to write about; much, much more, but I have selected Luke 12:37 to bring to an end this short but beautiful story of Jesus’ servitude. “Blessed are those servants whom the Lord, when He cometh shall find watching. I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself and make them to sit down to meat and will come forth to serve them.”

A Prayer

Dear Father, how can I ever comprehend, that the little I have done for you could ever constitute you seating me at a table and serving me? Lord, as I live through eternity, nothing I do for you will help me to come to an understanding of why you would serve me. The thought breaks me into a million pieces and leaves me facedown at your feet; sobbing and saying, “Lord how can you love me like that.”

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.

Testified

Testified

Rapsodie Adams

This is my ode to a man I have only met through those who loved him; as well as, through the Lord who can show you the heart of someone you have never met.

Their once was a man, a Christian man, adored by his wife, loved by his children, and looked up to by the people at his church.

A Christian DJ by trade, he was esteemed highly in the community.  He lived his life for Jesus. Consequently, he was a plain man, unencumbered by this world; a gifted guitar player and a song writer, he wrote a lot of songs about going home to be with Jesus. This man was very ill, he had a defective heart and without a heart transplant, he would die.

One Sunday morning he went to church and played and sang for Jesus. He also testified of how he hadn’t felt well, as of late. He thanked the church who had been praying for him. Then he said, “if I should just faint away, don’t you say the devil had his way, because I’m just going on home.” He talked about how our time on earth is so short, then he sang a song he had written called Living on Borrowed Time. He sang another song called Rich in Jesus and when he had finished, he looked out at the church and said “pray for me.” Those were his last words.

This man was my husband’s father and my father-in-law, Charles Gray Adams Sr. He died on that Sunday morning July the 12th 1987, he was 49 years old. To this very day our testimony is not just that he died, but on that Sunday morning, he went on to be with his Jesus!

A Prayer

Dear Father, always help me to know people by their spirit. And Father, I thank you that our spirits never die.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
