Bible Study
Bible study is essential for every Christian. In fact, the Word of God is likened to the bread of life in which we must partake of daily in order to grow in Christ. This is proven by the fact that Jesus found this important enough to include it in His example of how to pray. This process of ingesting the Word of God, through study, also illuminates “the way” believers are to travel. Most importantly, we are commanded to study and rightly divide God’s Word in order to please Him.
John 6:35
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life:
he that cometh to me shall never hunger;
and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
John 6:11
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
Psalm 199:105
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
2 Timothy 2:15
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
